Regular Worship

During the regular program year, we worship at 10:15am on Sunday mornings. We follow the Holy Eucharist Rite II from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. Our organist and choir are present for this service, and most of our hymns are taken from the Episcopal Hymnal 1982. Children may go to the nursery or Sunday School and generally join us at the Peace so they are present for Communion. Children are always welcome in church at any time.

Please consider bringing non-perishable food items for the Food Bank every Sunday. Children are invited to carry items from the back of the church to the altar during the offertory hymn.

Special Services

In addition to summer traditions listed below, we have several special services throughout the year. These include a Praise Service with guest singers and musicians in the Parish Hall, a Taize service and blessing of the candles at the Feast of Candlemas, and Morning Prayer. We also celebrate two Scout Sundays for Scouts BSA Troops 485 and 1485. These and other special services generally occur once a year and may be found on the parish calendar.

Summer Traditions

We have many festive summer traditions which are a lot of fun. We choose one Sunday per month to have “Pick Your Own Hymns.” When you come into church, you may write a hymn name or number on a card, place it in a basket, and every time we reach a hymn in the service, we choose a surprise from the suggested cards. The sermons on these Sundays are a time of learning about a hymn, composer, or a part of music history.

We also love our annual “Mass in the Grass,” when we have the service outside and spend the sermon time competing as teams in categories such as “Episcopal Trivia” or “Name That Hymn.”
