Scouting at Immanuel

Immanuel has a long tradition of supporting scouting in the Hereford Zone community. Troop 485 and Pack 485 were founded in 1951 and continue today. Troop 1485 was established in 2019. Over 100 local families participate in our scouting community, and we look forward to welcoming you!

Cub Scout Pack 485

Cub Scout Pack 485 focuses on providing programming to area elementary school students. While many members are Sparks ES students, we welcome all including those attending other Hereford elementary schools, those attending a private school, and homeschooled students. Students from Kindergarten to 5th grade are eligible to join.

We have two types of monthly meetings - pack meetings for all members and den meetings for Scouts in a specific grade. Example activities include an overnight family campout, a model rocket launch event, a Pinewood Derby race with youth built cars, and conservation service projects.

Overall, the main aims of Cub Scouting are Character, Citizenship, Personal Fitness, and Leadership. If you are interested in your child joining or would like more information, then please contact the Pack Cubmaster Ron at pack485cubmaster@gmail.com.
